What Does a Good Mentor Do?

Reflective Teaching 30 Day Blog Challenge
DAY 6: What does a good mentor do?

A good mentor guides and gives constructive feedback to the mentee. They are supportive, answer lots of questions (even stupid ones!), and have the capacity to be forgiving and understanding. They must have a passion for teaching and be willing to share their skills and knowledge. A good mentor values others opinions and initiatives and is a positive and motivating force during the mentee's induction into the profession.
